ShowRM Dealer Guide
Everything a dealer and their team need to run the showroom on ShowRM: stock, photos, your website, leads, deals, paperwork, team and billing. Each section has step-by-step instructions you can follow on a computer or a phone.
Tip: On a phone, the bottom bar has Home · Cars · + · Leads · More. The big + always adds a new vehicle. On a computer, the same pages are in the left sidebar.
1. Getting started
1.1 Create your account
- Open the ShowRM dashboard and choose Log in.
- Enter your email address, tick I agree to the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy (the links open them) and tap Continue.
- First time: a 6-digit code arrives by email (check spam if you don't see it). Type it and tap Verify & continue.
- Set your password (8+ characters with letters and digits) and enter your mobile number — customers call and WhatsApp you on it. It is not used to log in.
- Next time: enter your email and you are asked for your password — no code needed.
- Forgot your password? Type your email and tap Forgot password? (on the first login screen, or next to the password box): a code comes by email, then you set a new password.
1.2 Set up your store
The first time you log in, ShowRM asks for your store details:
- Business type: for example Used car dealer or Used bike dealer. This decides which fields every vehicle has (brand, model, year, km driven, fuel…).
- Store name and city. Your website address is created from the name, for example
rajmotors.showrm.in. - Store phone: buyers call and WhatsApp this number. If you signed up with email, this is required.
- Tap Create store. Your free trial starts (14 days, all features of the chosen plan) and your website is already online.
1.3 A quick tour of the home page
- Numbers at the top: live and draft vehicles, vehicles sold in the last 30 days, website views, new leads, and leads in the last 7 and 30 days.
- Leads chart: leads per day for the last 14 days (India time).
- To-do card: follow-ups due today, vehicles waiting 30, 45 or 60+ days with what the wait has cost (section 2.8), RC transfers that are due, documents expiring soon, and money items, so nothing is missed.
- Money tiles (owners, managers and accountants only): capital locked in unsold stock, vehicles without a purchase price, and profit in the last 30 days.
- Every morning at 8:30 AM the store phone receives a short summary SMS of the day's to-dos.
2. Adding and managing stock
2.1 Add a vehicle
- Tap + (phone) or Add car (computer).
- Fill in the details. Fields marked * are required.
- Brand and Model: pick from the list. The model list follows the brand you chose.
- Year, KM driven, Fuel, Transmission, Owners, Colour, Registration state, Insurance valid till.
- Price: the asking price in rupees.
- Title: leave it empty and ShowRM writes it for you, for example 2019 Maruti Suzuki Swift VXi.
- Description: service history, extras, condition. Buyers read this.
- Choose Status:
- Draft: saved but not on your website (use it while you collect photos).
- Live (Active): shown on your website and on the ShowRM marketplace.
- Tap Save. Then add photos (next section).
Quick add (many vehicles fast). In Stock, tap Quick add. Each vehicle is one short screen: take photos (or pick them from the gallery; the first is the cover), fill in only the required details and the price, then Save & add next. Every vehicle goes live on your website at once; add the rest (description, deal, papers) later from the vehicle page. The screen keeps a list of what you added with buttons to open your website and share it on WhatsApp — handy when setting up a whole showroom in one visit.
2.2 Photos
- Photo checklist: above your photos, a checklist shows the photos buyers look for (car: front corner, back corner, left and right side, dashboard, odometer, seats, engine, tyre; bike: front corner, both sides, back, meter, engine, tyre). Taken ones get a green tick. Tap 📷 Take photos step by step and the camera opens for each one in turn with a tip on how to take it; tap Skip this one or Done for now any time. Tap a single item to take just that photo. The front-corner photo automatically becomes the cover.
- Add many at once: tap Add photos and select several photos together (up to 20 per vehicle; JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 15 MB each). On a computer you can also drag photos from a folder onto the photo area. They upload three at a time, each with its own progress bar, and big phone photos are made smaller automatically so they upload quickly on mobile data. If you choose more than fit, the first ones are added and you're told how many.
- ShowRM makes small, medium and large versions automatically and removes hidden location data from the photos.
- The first photo is the cover: it is shown on cards and when you share. Tap ★ on any photo to make it the cover, or use ◀ ▶ to change the order.
- Edit a photo (✎): crop, zoom, drag to reposition, rotate left/right, mirror, brightness and contrast. Choose a shape: Standard 4:3 (best for cards), Wide 16:9, Square or Original. Tap Save photo. The edited photo replaces the old one in the same position.
- Tap ✕ to delete one photo. To delete several: tap Select to delete, tap the photos you want to remove (or Select all), then Delete. Cancel leaves select mode without deleting.
Good photos sell faster: shoot in daylight, the full car from the front three-quarter angle first, then the side, rear, interior, dashboard (showing km), engine bay and tyres.
2.3 Stock list
- Open Inventory (computer) or Cars (phone).
- Tabs: All · Live · Booked · Draft · Sold. Use the search box for brand, model or year.
- Each card shows the price, days in stock and, if you can see costs, the total cost.
2.4 Website highlights
From a vehicle's page, under Website:
- Featured: featured vehicles appear first on your website and in the Featured section of the homepage.
- Badge: Hot deal, Inspected, Single owner, Low km or New arrival. The badge is printed on the card and the windshield sticker.
- Price drop: when you lower the price, the website automatically shows the old price struck through for 21 days.
2.5 Share on WhatsApp
- Share stock on the stock page sends your whole live stock as one neat WhatsApp message with prices and links.
- On a vehicle, Share sends just that car with its link.
- On a phone, the share sheet opens so you can pick WhatsApp, a group, Instagram or SMS.
- Status poster (on a vehicle, under Website) makes a tall image with the photo, price, key details and your number, sized for WhatsApp Status and Instagram Stories. Tap Share image to post it straight to WhatsApp, or Download image to save it (in the Android app, Download opens the share sheet where you can also save it).
2.6 Windshield sticker with QR code
On a vehicle, choose Sticker. You get a printable A4 sticker with the price, key details, your phone number and a QR code that opens the vehicle on your website. Print it and put it on the windshield. Walk-in buyers can scan it for photos, EMI and an enquiry form.
2.7 Delete a vehicle
Delete removes the vehicle from your stock and website (owners and managers). Sold vehicles should be marked sold instead (section 4), so your reports stay correct.
2.8 Price guide and stock ageing
Open any vehicle: under Price & listing the Price guide shows a suggested price and a range, and how far your price is above or below it.
- It compares vehicles with the same brand and model, from 2 model years older to 2 newer (other years are adjusted by about 8% a year).
- It uses your own sales of the last 2 years (60% weight; how much they sold for and how quickly) and other dealers' asking prices on ShowRM (40% weight; only totals, never which dealer).
- Tap Use ₹… to put the suggested price in the form, then Save. Staff who can't see deal figures still get the suggestion, but not your sale list.
Ageing alerts fire when a vehicle reaches 30, 45 and 60 days in stock: on the home to-do card, in the morning SMS and on the vehicle. Each alert shows roughly what the wait has cost. That is the value lost (used vehicles lose about 15% a year) plus the interest on your money in the vehicle (12% a year on purchase price and expenses; owners and managers only). Suggested next steps:
- At 30 days, share the vehicle again and feature it on your website.
- At 45 days, drop the price or add a "Hot deal" badge. A Quick sale price (the low end of the guide) is offered.
- At 60 days, price it to sell.
The Slow-moving stock report lists every vehicle at 30+ days with this cost.
3. Bulk upload from Excel and exports
3.1 Import many vehicles at once
- Go to Inventory → Import.
- Download Excel template. It has one column per field of your business type, drop-down lists (brand, fuel, status, Yes/No) and a How to fill sheet. Yellow columns are required.
- Fill one vehicle per row:
- Price: numbers only (commas are fine, e.g. 4,25,000).
- Status: Live or Draft (empty = Draft).
- Title: leave empty to build it from the fields.
- Several values (e.g. features): separate them with commas.
- Dates: e.g. 2026-12-31 (Excel dates also work).
- Upload the file (.xlsx or .csv, up to 500 rows and 2 MB) and tap Check file. Nothing is saved yet. You see every row as Ready or with its problems, for example Row 4: Price is required or Choose a valid brand.
- Tap Import N vehicles. Rows with problems are skipped. Fix them in Excel and upload again.
- Add photos to the imported vehicles from each vehicle's page.
Your plan's vehicle limit applies to imports too. Rows beyond the limit are reported, not imported.
3.2 Export to Excel or CSV
- Inventory → Export: your stock with every field, days in stock and views. People who can see costs also get purchase price, expenses, total cost, margin, sale price and profit. The export uses the tab and search you have open.
- Leads → Export: the leads you can see, with the current filters.
- Choose Excel (.xlsx) or CSV (.csv). Exports are available to owners, managers and accountants (permission Data export).
4. Deals: purchase, costs, booking and sale
Open a vehicle and use the Deal panel. Only people allowed to see costs see the money parts.
4.1 Purchase details
- Purchase price, purchased on, seller name and phone.
- Loan on vehicle: No loan, Loan active, NOC pending or Loan closed, NOC received. Add the financier. Vehicles with a pending NOC are flagged on the home to-do card.
4.2 Expenses (reconditioning)
Add each cost with its category (Repair, Paint, Tyres, Service, Cleaning, Documentation, Transport, Commission, Other), amount, date and note. ShowRM totals them:
- Total cost = purchase price + expenses
- Expected margin = asking price − total cost
4.3 Book a vehicle (token received)
Tap Book, enter the buyer's name and phone, the token amount and how it was paid (UPI, cash, bank transfer or cheque, with the reference). The vehicle becomes Booked and the website shows a Booked badge, so other buyers know. The token is saved as the buyer's first receipt (section 4.4a). Cancel booking makes it Live again; if you return the token, cancel its receipt too.
4.4 Mark as sold
Tap Mark sold. Optionally enter the final sale price and buyer details. Then:
- Profit = sale price − total cost appears on the vehicle and in the home money tiles.
- The vehicle stays reachable on your website by its link, marked Sold, but leaves the lists.
- An RC transfer is started with a 14-day due date (section 4.6).
- The balance still to be received is shown under Payments from the buyer (section 4.4a).
Sale fell through, or marked sold by mistake? On the vehicle, under Booking & sale, tap Undo sale and confirm. The sale price is removed, the RC transfer is cancelled and the vehicle shows on your website again. If it was booked before it was sold, you are asked whether to keep the booking (it goes back to Booked with the same buyer and token) or make it available to everyone. Choosing Live or Draft in the edit form does the same. A sale can't be undone once its RC transfer is marked Completed (the RC is already in the buyer's name). Every undo is recorded in the activity log.
4.4a Payments from the buyer and receipts
Once a vehicle is booked or sold, Payments from the buyer on the vehicle page shows the agreed price (sale price, or the asking price until sold), how much you have received and the balance due.
- + Record a payment: choose what it is for (token, advance, down payment, balance, loan amount from bank, other), the amount (the balance is filled in), how it was paid and the UPI/cheque/bank reference, and the date (up to a month back). Received from defaults to the buyer; when the bank pays the loan, write the bank's name. You can't record more than the balance due.
- Every payment gets a receipt number (R-0001, R-0002… for your whole store). Tap Receipt to print it: buyer copy and office copy on one page, with the amount in words, the total paid so far and the balance. WhatsApp sends the buyer a short receipt message.
- A wrong entry is cancelled with a reason, never deleted. It stays in the list marked Cancelled, its number is not used again, and the balance is corrected.
- Sales staff can take payments too; the activity log records each receipt (visible to people who can see deal figures).
4.5 Vehicle documents
Upload RC, Insurance, PUC, Bank NOC, Service record, Invoice, Sale agreement, ID proof or Other (photos or PDFs). Add the expiry date for insurance and PUC to get reminders. Documents are private: they open through a link that works for 5 minutes and are never shown on the website.
4.6 RC transfers
RC transfers lists every sold vehicle whose registration must move to the buyer. Steps: Pending → Forms 29/30 signed → Submitted to RTO → Transferred. Add the RTO office and application number. Overdue transfers (past 14 days) are highlighted and appear on the home to-do card.
Tap Forms & handover on a transfer to open it:
- Details for the forms: registration, chassis and engine number, the seller (owner on the RC, filled from the purchase details) and the buyer with their father's/husband's name and address. A line above the print buttons tells you what is still missing.
- Print forms: Form 29, Form 30 and the Delivery note, filled in and ready to print (A4) for signatures. The forms follow the Central Motor Vehicles Rules format; many states now take them online on Parivahan, so check with your RTO. If the seller's loan is still open, you are reminded that the RTO needs the bank NOC and Form 35.
- Handover to the buyer: when the buyer takes the vehicle, enter the odometer, tick what you handed over (keys, original RC, insurance, PUC, service book, NOC, signed forms…), add a note if needed, take a photo of the buyer with the vehicle and let the buyer sign on the screen with a finger. Tap Record handover. The date and time are saved with the signature and photo and cannot be changed later. This is your proof that responsibility for challans, accidents and third-party claims passed to the buyer at that moment. The signed delivery note can be printed any time.
- Remind buyer on WhatsApp sends the buyer a ready message (sign the forms and bring address proof, or a status update once the papers are at the RTO). The list shows which sales still have no recorded handover.
5. Leads (enquiries)
5.1 Where leads come from
- Your website: Send enquiry, Book a test drive, Call me back on any vehicle, the contact form, and Sell your car (people who want to sell you a vehicle).
- ShowRM marketplace: buyers who find your vehicles on the ShowRM buyer site.
- Added by hand: walk-ins and phone calls you record yourself.
When a new lead arrives you get a notification in the dashboard (bell and pop-up) and an SMS on the store phone. If the same phone number asks about the same vehicle again within 24 hours, it is merged into the existing lead as a note, so there are no duplicates.
5.2 Working your inbox
- Tabs: Follow-ups due, New, Contacted, Visited, Won, Lost, All, and Want to sell (sell requests).
- Filter Everyone's leads / Assigned to me / Unassigned, and search by name, phone or vehicle.
- Open a lead to:
- Call or WhatsApp with one tap (the message is pre-filled with the vehicle).
- Change the status as the buyer moves along.
- Add notes after every conversation. Each note shows who wrote it and when.
- Set the next follow-up date and time. It appears under Follow-ups due and on the home page.
- Assign the lead to a salesperson (if you have permission).
5.3 Automatic assignment
In Team, turn on Auto-assign leads. New leads then go round-robin to active Sales team members, always to the person with the fewest open leads.
5.4 Sell requests (procurement)
Want to sell leads include the seller's brand, model, year, km, expected price and registration state. Call them to inspect and buy, then add the vehicle to your stock.
6. Your website
Open Website. Changes go live when you tap Save. The preview on the right (Desktop / Mobile) shows your real website.
6.1 Store info
Name, tagline, about text, phone, WhatsApp number, address, Google Maps link (for Get directions), opening hours for each day, and Instagram, Facebook and YouTube links.
6.2 Look
- Logo and cover photo: upload, Edit (crop, zoom, rotate, brightness), change or remove. When editing the cover, previews show how the banner looks on a computer and on a phone. A wide (landscape) photo of your showroom or your best stock works best.
- Templates: Classic, Bold, Minimal, Luxury, Fresh. One tap sets the style, colours, font, menu and banner.
- Fine-tune: primary and accent colours, font, menu style (bar, centered, floating), banner style (dark, brand colour, light), corners (rounded, soft, sharp), cards per row on phones (1 or 2), and whether to show Sell your car and Contact in the menu.
6.3 Homepage sections
The banner (with your cover photo, tagline and search) is always at the top. Below it, switch these sections on or off and change their order: Featured stock, Latest arrivals, Why buy from us (up to 6 selling points), Customer reviews, Finance & loans, Questions & answers and Visit us (address, timings and call button).
6.4 Content and pages
Edit the banner headline and text, the Why buy from us points, customer reviews, finance text and the questions & answers. Under Pages, add your own pages (for example Finance, Warranty, About us). Each page gets its own link (/p/your-page) and is added to Google's sitemap automatically.
6.5 Your own domain (e.g. www.rajmotors.in)
- On the Website page, tap Use my own domain.
- Enter the domain and say whether you already own it.
- The ShowRM team replies with the DNS settings (a CNAME record) to add at your domain provider.
- Once DNS is set, the domain goes Live and your website opens on it, with a secure https certificate.
Own domains depend on your plan (see section 10).
6.6 RTO authorised dealer certificate
Since 1 April 2023 every business that buys and sells used (registered) vehicles must hold an authorisation certificate from its RTO (Central Motor Vehicles Rules 55A–55H). Why it matters to you:
- It is the law — the RTO can act against unregistered dealers.
- Protection from someone else's challans and accidents — when a seller hands a vehicle to you, Form 29C is filed online and the sale to your buyer is recorded too, so it is on record exactly when the vehicle was with you.
- RC work in your hands — while a vehicle is with you, you can apply for RC transfer, duplicate RC, NOC and fitness renewal without chasing the old owner.
- Buyers trust you more — your website shows an "RTO authorised dealer" badge with your certificate.
How to get it: keep your GST number, PAN, business address proof and ID ready, apply on Parivahan (Vahan) in Form 29B and pay the fee (₹25,000 under the rules). The RTO issues the certificate within 30 days; it is valid for 5 years. Your side of it: drive stock vehicles only for test drives, repairs, PUC or showing to buyers, and keep the electronic trip register on Parivahan. Rules can change and some states add steps — confirm with your RTO.
Once you have it: Website → RTO authorised dealer, enter the certificate number, the issuing RTO and the valid-until date, upload a photo of the certificate and keep Show the badge and certificate on my website ticked. The badge appears on your home page, contact page and footer (with a link to the certificate) while it is valid. 60 days before it ends the home to-do card and the morning SMS remind you to renew; after the date the badge is hidden until you enter the new details.
6.7 What buyers see
Your website shows live and booked vehicles with photos, filters (brand, budget, year, fuel and more), an EMI calculator, enquiry and test-drive forms, a call/WhatsApp bar on phones, and Google-friendly pages for every vehicle.
7. Team and roles
7.1 Add a team member
- Open Team → Add member.
- Enter their email and name, and choose a role.
- They log in with that email: the first time a code is emailed to them, then they set their own password and mobile number. No shared passwords.
7.2 Roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including the team and billing. A store can have several owners (partners); each has the same full rights. |
| Manager | Runs the store day to day: everything except changing the team. |
| Sales | Stock, bookings and sales, and their own (and unassigned) leads. Does not see purchase prices or profit. |
| Evaluator | Buys and inspects vehicles: purchase details, costs, papers and sell-your-car leads. |
| Accountant | Costs, profit, papers, RC transfers, reports and exports. No leads. |
A role change applies within about 15 minutes. Your plan sets how many team members you can add (owners are not counted).
Partners / co-owners: add them with the role Owner, or change an existing member's role to Owner. Only an owner can add, change or remove another owner. Nobody can change or remove themselves, and a store always keeps at least one owner.
7.3 Remove someone
Remove detaches them from the store immediately, logs them out everywhere and moves their leads back to Unassigned.
7.4 Team performance
The Team page shows each person's leads assigned, open, won and lost, conversion rate, average first response time, notes added and vehicles sold.
7.5 Branches (more than one showroom)
If you have showrooms in the same city or in other cities, open Branches (menu → Branches).
- Your store starts with one main branch (your city, phone and address). Tap Add branch for each extra showroom: name, city, address, its own phone/WhatsApp (empty = the store's number) and an optional Google Maps link.
- Location pin: stand inside the showroom and tap Use my current location. The pin is used for staff attendance and for the website's Directions button.
- Every vehicle belongs to a branch. When you add a vehicle, pick its branch (new vehicles go to the main branch unless you choose another). To move a vehicle, change its branch in the edit form.
- Leads follow the vehicle: an enquiry on a car belongs to that car's branch, and automatic assignment hands it to Sales staff of that branch (or staff who work for all branches).
- Staff per branch: in Team, choose a branch next to a member's role. They then see only that branch's stock and leads, and what they add goes to their branch. All branches lets them see everything. Owners always see every branch.
- Filters: the stock and leads lists get a branch filter; exports follow it.
- Your website shows every showroom once you have more than one: a Visit any of our showrooms section on the home page (call, WhatsApp, directions and See N vehicles here), all showrooms in the footer and on the Contact page, the showroom name on each car card, a showroom filter on the cars page, and the branch address and number on each car's page. On the ShowRM marketplace your store lists all its showroom cities and is found by a search for any of them.
- Main / close: Make main changes the default branch. Close branch hides it everywhere (old sales and leads stay); move its unsold vehicles first.
- Your plan sets how many branches you can have (Basic 1, Pro 3, Showroom unlimited).
7.6 Staff attendance
Everyone in the store, owners included, marks attendance from their phone; the owner and managers (and accountants) see the whole team and can mark anyone.
- Set it up once: in Branches, add each showroom's location pin (stand inside and tap Use my current location). In Attendance → Rules set the opening time, how many minutes count as late, the allowed distance from the branch (default 200 m), the half-day hours and the weekly off days. Turn on Refuse check-ins from outside if you want staff to be inside the showroom to check in (otherwise outside check-ins are allowed but flagged).
- Everyone (owners too): the home screen shows My attendance. Tap Check in when they arrive and Check out when they leave; the phone asks once for location permission. A check-in after opening time + grace is marked Late; fewer hours than the half-day limit become Half day.
- Owner / manager: below their own card, the home screen shows Team attendance today: everyone including the owners, with check-in times and a status for each person. Pick Present, Late, Half day, Absent or Leave right there to mark someone (Absent and Leave ask for an optional note). Attendance → Day lists everyone with in/out times and the distance from the branch (⚠ = away from the showroom). Change a person's status to mark Leave, Absent or a correction (with a note). Month is the monthly sheet: P / L / ½ / A / Lv per day with totals and hours. A past working day with no check-in counts as Absent; weekly offs don't.
- Staff tied to a branch check in at that branch; others at the nearest branch. Managers tied to a branch see only their branch's staff.
7.7 Salary & leaves
Open Salary & leaves from the menu.
- Everyone: My leave shows how many casual, sick and earned leave days are left this year. To apply, choose the kind of leave, the first and last day (tick Half day only for a single half day), add a reason and tap Send request. Weekly offs inside the dates are not counted. You can cancel a request until the leave starts. My payslips lists your salary slips once your salary is paid.
- Owner / manager (attendance access): Team leave shows requests waiting for an answer: Approve or Reject (with a reason). Approved full days appear as Leave on the attendance sheet. + Record leave saves leave for someone who told you in person (already approved; past dates allowed). The Leave balance table shows what each person has left.
- Owner / accountant (salary access):
- Rules: paid leave days per year for each kind (0 = not given; unpaid leave has no limit) and whether absent days on the attendance sheet cut the salary. Turn that off if your team doesn't check in every day: then only unpaid leave cuts it.
- Salaries: each person's monthly salary, a monthly allowance, a fixed deduction (PF, ESI, a loan instalment) and their joining date. People at 0 stay out of the salary sheet. The joining date starts as the day they were added to the app: if they worked for you before that, set the real date, otherwise the days before it are not paid (the salary sheet says how many).
- Salary sheet: pick the month and tap Calculate salaries. Each day is counted from attendance and approved leave: weekly offs and paid leave are paid; absent days, unpaid leave and half of a half day are cut (salary + allowance ÷ days in the month × unpaid days); days before someone joined are not paid. Add an advance to recover, another deduction or a bonus / incentive, then Mark paid (UPI, cash, bank, cheque + reference). Calculate again updates unpaid salaries with the latest attendance and keeps your advance and bonus; paid ones never change (use Undo payment if marked by mistake).
- Payslip prints a clean A4 salary slip (earnings, deductions, net pay in words, signatures). The employee sees it in My payslips once paid.
Salary figures are visible only to owners and accountants (managers handle leave but don't see salaries).
7.8 Reports
Open Reports from the menu. Reports are grouped; you see only the ones your role allows (profit needs cost access, lead reports need see all leads, attendance needs attendance access). Reports of a section your plan doesn't include are hidden too: no lead reports without Leads, no attendance summary without Attendance, no RC report without RC transfers.
| Group | Reports |
|---|---|
| Sales & profit | Sales by month · Sales register (every sale with cost, profit, days to sell, buyer and who sold it) · Profit by branch · Profit by brand · Sales by salesperson · Expenses by category |
| Stock | Stock by branch · Stock ageing (0–30 / 31–60 / 61–90 / 90+ days) · Slow-moving stock (30+ days, with the cost of waiting) · Stock by brand · Open bookings · NOC pending |
| Leads & salespeople | Leads by source · Leads by month · Leads by branch · Salesperson performance · Overdue follow-ups · Most enquired vehicles |
| Team | Attendance summary (per month) |
| Paperwork | RC transfers (due dates, stage, days overdue) |
In a report, choose the period (this month, last month, last 30 days, this year, last year or your own dates) and, with several showrooms, the branch. Most reports show a bar chart, the table and a Total row. Export downloads Excel or CSV (needs Data export); Print gives a clean page for a file or your accountant.
8. Activity log
Activity records who did what and when: price changes, bookings, sales, lead assignments, team changes, imports, exports and website changes. Filter by Stock & deals, Leads, RC transfers, Team or Store settings. Money-related entries are visible only to people who can see costs.
9. Notifications and daily routine
- In the dashboard: a pop-up and the bell for every new lead.
- SMS to the store phone for new leads and the 8:30 AM daily summary.
Suggested routine
- Morning: open Home, clear Follow-ups due, and check the to-do card.
- During the day: reply to new leads within 15 minutes and add a note after each call.
- When stock changes: add photos, update prices, book or mark sold right away, so your website is always correct.
- Weekly: look at vehicles in stock 30+ days and their price guide (reduce the price or feature them), and check RC transfers and expiring documents.
10. Plan and billing
Open Plan & billing to see your plan, limits and dates.
| Plan | Price / month | Vehicles | Team members | Own domain |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | ₹999 | 25 | 1 | No |
| Pro | ₹2,999 | Unlimited | 5 | No |
| Showroom | ₹7,999 | Unlimited | 20 | Yes |
(Prices and limits may change; the Plan & billing page always shows the current ones.)
What happens when a plan ends
- Grace period (2 days): everything keeps working. You see a reminder — renew now.
- Read-only (next 7 days): your website stays online, but you cannot change stock or leads in the dashboard.
- Suspended: the website goes offline until you renew. Your data is kept safe.
To pay, upgrade or renew, tap Pay for … on the plan you want:
- Choose for how long (1, 3, 6 or 12 months); the total is shown.
- Pay ShowRM: Pay online opens the ShowRM payment page (UPI, card, net banking), or scan the UPI QR with any UPI app (the amount is filled in; on the phone, Open UPI app). The payee is always ShowRM's business account — never a personal number.
- Enter the UTR / transaction number from your payment app and tap I have paid. The team checks the payment and switches on your plan, usually within a few hours.
Prefer to pay on a call? Tap Ask us to call you and the team will call you (UPI, bank transfer, cash or cheque). The plan is active as soon as the payment is recorded.
Every payment you make to ShowRM appears under Payments & receipts on the same page, with a receipt number (SH-00001…). Tap Receipt to print it or save it as PDF for your accounts.
11. Phone app
ShowRM is not on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. Android phones download the app from ShowRM itself; iPhones add ShowRM to the home screen. Both use the same account and data as the website.
Android app. Open ShowRM app in the menu (under Store). Scan the QR code with your phone camera, or open the page on your phone and tap Download the app.
- Open the downloaded file. Android may ask you to allow Install unknown apps for your browser: allow it once. The app is not on the Google Play Store — you always get it (and its updates) from the ShowRM dashboard. If Google Play Protect says the app is unrecognised, tap More details → Install anyway.
- Open ShowRM and log in with your email and password — it is the same account and the same data as the website.
- In the app, the phone's back button goes back a page, Share opens the phone's share sheet (WhatsApp, SMS…), the photo picker can use the camera, and Excel/CSV exports open in the share sheet so you can save or send them.
When a new version is ready, the app shows A new version is available — Update. Tap it, open the downloaded file and install: you stay logged in. The app needs Android 7 or newer.
iPhone and iPad. There is no App Store app — you add ShowRM to your home screen instead, and it then opens full screen like an app. The ShowRM app page shows these steps and a QR code.
- Open the ShowRM dashboard in Safari (or scan the QR code with the iPhone camera).
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow), scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
- Open ShowRM from your home screen and log in with your email and password.
It always runs the latest version, so there is nothing to update.
12. Account and security
Updated terms. When ShowRM changes its Terms of Service or Privacy Policy in a way you need to agree to, a "We've updated our…" screen appears after you log in. Read it and tap I agree to continue (or Log out). The current versions are always at the links on the login page.
- Language and dark mode: ShowRM opens in Hindi. Open the menu (on a phone: More / और) and pick हिन्दी or English at the bottom; the login screen has the same switch in its top corner. Next to it, choose Light, Dark or Auto (Auto follows your phone's setting). Your choice is saved on your account, so the Android app and your other phones use it too; each team member picks their own. Speak instead of typing: notes on a lead, the car description, expense notes and your website's About text have a 🎤 mic button. Tap it and speak in Hindi (Hinglish works too) — the words are typed in for you. In the Android app this uses your phone's Google voice typing; in a browser use Chrome. Below the switches, A / A+ / A++ makes all the text bigger if the normal size is hard to read (also saved on your account). Every screen of the dealer app is in Hindi, including the car form and messages; windshield stickers, token receipts and the WhatsApp messages you send to customers stay in English. Your website follows each visitor's phone: it shows dark when their phone is in dark mode.
- Account page: your name, login email (changing it needs a code sent to the new email) and the mobile number customers see (change it any time, no code).
- Password: change it on the Account page. After 5 wrong attempts, password login is locked for 15 minutes; use Forgot password? on the login screen to set a new one with an email code.
- Log out from the account menu. Logging out on one device does not affect others.
- Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and the dashboard's data is additionally encrypted end to end between your browser and ShowRM. Each store only ever sees its own data.
13. Frequently asked questions
My vehicle is not on my website. Check that its status is Live (not Draft) and that your plan is not suspended.
A photo shows "Processing…". Large photos take a few seconds. If it says the upload didn't finish, delete it (✕) and add it again.
Buyers say the website shows an old price. Prices update immediately after you save. Ask them to refresh the page.
I can't see purchase prices or profit. Your role does not include costs. Ask the owner to change your role.
Import says "Choose a valid brand/model". Use the drop-down values from the template. The model must belong to the chosen brand.
How do I get more leads? Keep every vehicle Live with 8+ good photos, share stock on WhatsApp daily, use the windshield QR sticker, feature your best vehicles, and reply within minutes.
14. Getting help
Video tips (in Hindi). Short 30–40 second videos show how to add a car, take photos with the checklist, answer a lead, share stock on WhatsApp, book and sell, and design your website. Find them on Home (वीडियो टिप्स) and on Help & guides, or tap ▶ Video at the top of the matching screen. More videos are added over time.
Guided tour. Open Help & guides and tap Take the 1-minute tour. It walks you through the home screen, stock, leads, the website editor and this help page, highlighting each part. Skip it any time; you can start it again whenever you like.
Try things in the demo store. The company website has a Try the live demo button. It opens a sample showroom (cars, leads, a finished website) where you, or a new team member, can practise without touching your real store. Everything there is reset every night, and it can't invite staff, request domains or plans, or change login details.
Contact ShowRM support on WhatsApp or by email (shown on the company website's Contact page). Tell us your store name and what you were trying to do. A screenshot helps.
