ShowRM Buyer Guide

How to find, compare and enquire about used cars and bikes on a dealer's website and on the ShowRM marketplace, how to book a test drive, and how to sell your own vehicle to a dealer.

You never need an account to browse or to send an enquiry. Logging in (with a one-time code) only adds favourites and a history of your enquiries.

1. Two ways to shop

Where What it is
A dealer's website (e.g. rajmotors.showrm.in or the dealer's own domain) One showroom's full stock, their address, timings and contact details.
ShowRM marketplace (Buy on the ShowRM website) Vehicles from many dealers in one place, with filters by city, brand, budget and more. Every vehicle links to the dealer's own page.

2. Finding a vehicle

2.1 Search and filters

  1. Open Cars (or Buy on the marketplace).
  2. Type in the search box: brand, model, variant or year, e.g. swift 2019 or creta diesel.
  3. Narrow down with:
    • Budget chips: one tap for Under ₹3 lakh, ₹3–5 lakh and so on. The ranges follow each dealer's actual prices.
    • Brand chips and filters such as year, km driven, fuel, transmission and body type.
    • Sort: newest, price low to high, price high to low.
  4. Featured vehicles (chosen by the dealer) are shown first.

2.2 Reading a vehicle card

  • Price, year, km driven, fuel and transmission.
  • EMI from ₹…/month: an indication with 80% financed at 10.5% for 60 months. Your actual EMI depends on the lender.
  • Badges such as Hot deal, Inspected, Single owner, Low km, New arrival.
  • A struck-through price means the dealer recently reduced the price.
  • Booked means a buyer has paid a token. Ask the dealer to put you on the waiting list.

3. The vehicle page

  • Photos: swipe or tap to enlarge.
  • Key details: everything the dealer filled in (owners, colour, registration state, insurance validity and more) and the dealer's description.
  • EMI calculator: change the down payment, interest rate and tenure to see your monthly payment.
  • Call and WhatsApp buttons. On phones they stay at the bottom of the screen. WhatsApp opens with a message about this exact vehicle.
  • Share: send the vehicle to family on WhatsApp.

4. Sending an enquiry or booking a test drive

  1. On the vehicle page, choose Best price (enquiry), Test drive or Call me back.
  2. Enter your name and mobile number, and optionally a message or a preferred date for the test drive.
  3. Tick the consent box and tap Send.
  4. The dealer is notified immediately and usually calls or WhatsApps you within minutes during opening hours.

Your privacy: your name and phone number are sent encrypted and go only to that dealer. If you enquire about the same vehicle twice within 24 hours, the dealer sees one enquiry, not two.

5. Selling your vehicle to a dealer

  1. On the dealer's website, open Sell your car.
  2. Enter brand, model, year, km driven, the price you expect, registration state, your name and mobile, and optionally a message.
  3. Tap Send. The dealer calls you to arrange an inspection and an offer.

6. Visiting the showroom

Each dealer website has a Contact page with the address, a Get directions map link, opening hours (today's timing is highlighted), phone and WhatsApp. Walking in? Scan the QR sticker on a vehicle's windshield to open its page with photos, EMI and an enquiry form.

8. Buying safely: a checklist

  1. See the vehicle in person and take a test drive in daylight.
  2. Check documents: RC (owner name, engine and chassis numbers match the vehicle), insurance, PUC and service records.
  3. Loan on the vehicle? Ask for the bank NOC and Form 35 if the RC shows hypothecation.
  4. Get it inspected by a mechanic you trust.
  5. Pay the token only to the dealer, and get a booking receipt.
  6. RC transfer: the dealer should complete the transfer (Forms 29/30) within about 14 days of the sale. Ask for the RTO application number.
  7. Never share OTPs or bank PINs with anyone, including people claiming to be from ShowRM.

9. Frequently asked questions

Is the price negotiable? Ask the dealer using Best price. Prices are set by each dealer, not by ShowRM.

Does ShowRM sell vehicles? No. ShowRM provides the websites and the marketplace. The sale is between you and the dealer.
